The Truth
The scriptures inspired by God‘s Holy Spirit say in
Prov 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
It is very important we know the truth about what happens after we die. Trusting in lies can be very costly in this life but even more so regarding where we will spend eternity. The scriptures also tell us:
1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The Scriptures warn us not to be deceived. There are all kinds of other narratives and ideas out there but the truth is we are all sinners. Some worse than others but we have all sinned and cannot be in fellowship with God while continuing in sin.
1John1:6-9 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
God is Holy hating evil and all sin because it separates us from fellowship with him.
Isaiah 59:1-2 ¶ Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
The good news is because God loves us he has provided the way for our sins to be forgiven so we can be restored back to fellowship with him. The scriptures tell us in
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
2 Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
It is important that we believe what God said about Jesus and come to repentance while the door is open and God’s Holy Spirit is convicting us.
Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man…
1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
There is a spiritual battle for our soul. Trusting in the lies that originated with Satan will lead to God’s judgment of eternal damnation for those who reject God’s son Jesus who is the one and only way of salvation provided for all of mankind.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him
It’s very important we make the right choice and believe in the truth while we still can before deception is allowed to overtake us.
2 Thes 2:9-12 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
It can be very dangerous to continue to reject the truth. We are not promised another chance or another day. We all need to come to God on his terms. There is no middle ground.
Matt 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”
Hebrew 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Psa 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: His praise endureth forever.
We can and will make our own choices but we cannot decide the consequences for those choices!
Rev 20:5 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Rev 21:6-8 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
God’s word is truth! Man’s word may or may not be true but you can be sure God’s word is true! We all have a choice to make if we’re going to believe what God said or we’re going to choose to trust in lies and believe something that contradicts what God said. We need to open the door of our heart and receive the Lord while he is knocking.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The greatest thing that could ever happen to any of us is to be restored in fellowship with the one who loves us and shed his blood on the cross for the atonement of our sins.
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
The Scriptures tell us that we must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven. You can be born of God today, have your sins forgiven never to be mentioned to you again and become a new creation by placing your faith in Jesus Christ.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God.
When we acknowledge we are sinners, offending God and confess our sins to God he knows when our hearts are sincere and hears our prayer.
Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Would you like to have your sins forgiven and be restored in fellowship with the Lord who loves you? You can do that right now by praying a simple prayer in your heart to the Lord.
Pray Lord Jesus I thank you that you died on the cross for my sins, shed your blood and rose again 3 days later from the dead for my justification. I confess that I have sinned against you and ask that you would forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I receive you now by faith and open the door of my heart for you to come in that I may be born again as your child and follow you for all the days of my life. Cleanse me and fill me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
If you prayed to receive Jesus as your Lord and savior. You can know that you have eternal life and that your sins are forgiven because of what God who cannot lie has said.
1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good.
Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Ezekiel 33:16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him….
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
